Mission
Uganda Catholic Community of Toronto (UCCT) is a charitable organization. UCCT is a Catholic-based organization that appreciates diversity, humanity, and social change to promote equitable social-economic empowerment and the well-being of the less privileged. Operating within an anti-oppressive practice approach, we uphold social justice and maintain inclusive community engagement.
Our journey
Uganda Catholic Community of Toronto (UCCT): Uganda Catholic Foundation of Toronto, Canada, is the registered name. We started as individuals within the community who prayed together and then identified needs, like those of seniors, the sick, those who lost loved ones, and newcomers. We banded together to help one another and volunteered to reach out whenever a need arose in our community, such as during COVID-19. We coordinated volunteers to help the sick get the different supports they needed. Now, due to the need in our community, we have established and registered a resource centre for all.
Holistically create a healthy and fair society where all lives matter (socially, physically, and economically).
What We Do
Let's Journey Together
Like any journey, moving to a new country needs a social, economic, and spiritual GPS to navigate a successful resettlement path. We provide necessary support by providing them with the needed resources.
